Edinburgh is the Capital of Scotland and home to history, culture and festivals. The native inhabitants of Edinburgh call themselves Edinburghians, however, whether or not you will meet a true Celtic or Pictish person in Edinburgh is debatable, as nowadays many globetrotters also call Edinburgh home.

One thing all people in Edinburgh have in common with the rest of us, if not heritage, is a national increase in obesity. The Scottish Health Survey recently revealed an increase in the obesity levels of Scottish people and the Scottish Government’s now aim to help Scottish citizens maintain a healthy BMI and reduce obesity in adults by 2018.

Getting rid of excess body weight in Scotland

Scotland is one of the world leaders in surgical obesity treatment studies, with the two most popular procedures for obese patients in Scotland being gastric band and bariatric surgery. The goal of weight loss programmes is not only to rid the person of their excess weight, but also to transform the person’s thinking about weight management, which includes a change to their lifestyle, diet and habits.

Some Edinburghians and their fellow companions, however, do not wish to have these types of weight loss surgeries. They may shed weight through diet and exercise, but have some excess remaining on a body part, such as the chin, neck, chest, arms, waist, thighs, buttocks, legs or ankles. It’s not about altering stomach size, it’s just about getting rid of that excess flabby fat on a specific body part.

Solution in Edinburgh: Vaser Liposuction

Removing excess flab from such as specific body part is where Vaser Liposuction works best! The procedure is minimally invasive, with local anaesthetic used and outpatient treatment can be received with results in two to three hours. Patients return to work within two days and have full recovery within three to four months. Vaser Liposuction uses ultrasonic waves through tiny inserted probes to breakdown the fat into liquid and suction it back out of the body. This kind of treatment slims the body parts and gives them back a more youthful tone. Whether you’re a Scottish Edinburghian or not, you can’t argue with that!
